Full Time live-out (live-in during the summer) nanny required for a loving Downtown Manhattan family with 3 children (ages 2, 6 and 8 yrs old) starting ASAP.

Specific duties to be negotiated with the family, but in general, you will be responsible for all child related duties including providing nurturing care and interacting with their children in a fun, stimulating, and age-appropriate way.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be someone active, engaging and highly organized who is experienced in a busy household! The family values great communication skills and assertive, direct communicators.

The ideal candidate is someone who is flexible with their schedule, proactive, and experienced with school age and toddler milestones.

The candidate should enjoy working alongside a supportive household team (including other nannies and other household staff).

A Bachelor's degree is required (childhood education / special needs / child psychology preferred) to be considered for this role.

Both parents travel for work, so a reliable and dependable individual is essential. Live-in during the summer and other overnight trips are expected throughout the year (the family owns a home in Fairfield County, CT).

Location : Downtown Manhattan, NYC

Start date : Family is flexible for the perfect candidate - would like to start ASAP

Days / times : The family wants to find the best of the best and is willing to be flexible on schedule for the right candidate.

Family is open to guaranteeing up to 40hrs / week for the ideal candidate. Availability for night time hours as needed.

Children : Three children - two boys (age : 6 and 8), one daughter (age : 2)

Conditions : $35 - $45 per hour* plus unlimited metro card, sick / personal days, vacation and public holidays

For further consideration, applicants must possess the following :

  • Authorization to work in the US
  • A clean driver's license is desired.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience as a nanny, 5-10 years preferred
  • A well-suited demeanor for working with school age children and toddlers
  • Experience working with children with ADHD and / or special needs
  • Exceptional childcare references that attest to strong communication skills, reliability, punctuality, maturity and high emotional intelligence
  • Education or equivalent knowledge of ages and stages of child growth and development
  • Ability to complete all child related duties (including, but not limited to : meal preparation, cleaning up / tidying bedroom and play areas, laundry, researching and planning playdates and activities, etc
  • Ability to commit for a minimum of 2 years for all permanent positions
  • A clean background to pass our comprehensive background check and social media checks

  • A four-year college degree from an accredited university
