About the Team

Are you passionate about keeping millions of customers’ data safe? Workday’s Platform Reliability Engineering team is dedicated to provide a resilient infrastructure for our Data Security & Privacy and Identity and Access Management (IAM) products for Workday.

We are working on one of the top priorities for Workday with a strong customer demand.

In Security Products we’re using the latest technologies to build platforms and services to support our growth while also ensuring the protection of Workday data and infrastructure is paramount.

As a part of this team, you will help build and support enterprise grade security tools and services for the Security Products initiatives.

About the Role

As manager, you shall provide the leadership, vision and execution to ensure we build and ship high quality, reliable, secure, scalable software and services designed for internet scale.

The team consists of highly capable individuals based in the US and EMEA locations. A successful manager will :

  • Own end-to-end availability (SLO / SLA) of our systems by developing processes, metrics and engineering projects that ensure high reliability for our customers.
  • Align and organize the team to deliver on this technical roadmap, in collaboration with other teams.
  • Plan for and enable the professional development of each direct report through personal and performance management.
  • Participate in 24x7 oncall escalation workflows.

About You Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years experience in a Software Engineering or DevOps roles.
  • 2+ years of management experience.
  • Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Go, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Other Qualifications

  • Experience working on Security (IAM, Data Encryption, Privacy).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts and security best practices.
  • Experience collaborating with peers from Product Management, Architecture, and other engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS / GCP, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement

The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location.

As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission / bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.

Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.

Primary Location : USA.GA.Atlanta

Primary Location Base Pay Range : $148,000 USD - $222,000 USD

Additional US Location(s) Base Pay Range : $140,600 USD - $264,000 USD
