Senior Software Engineer, Game Publishing

Responsibilities :

Maintain, debug, and improve a multitiered distributed application in equal parts Python, C++, and JavaScript / HTM

Adhere to established coding standards & development philosophies, maintain efficient coding practices, and produce clean code that works

Perform research to discover new, enabling technologies and acquire knowledge necessary to complete assigned tasks

Work closely with Product Managers to define viable product features that our customers love and that work for our business

Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews

Requirements :

5+ years of experience with software development in both Python and C++17

Experience with Cloud Computing and Autoscaling

Experience developing multitiered distributed applications & RESTful APIs

Knowledge of network and server security issues

Detailed understanding of transfer protocols such as HTTP, FTP, S3, Gopher (yes Gopher), etc

Bonus :

Bachelor's degree in computer science

Familiarity with Python frameworks including Flask, Django, and Celery

Experience supporting a live always-on service

Experience with Functional Programming through Rust, OCaml, Scala, F#, or Haskell

Familiarity with web client development (AngularJS and Material Design)
