We're looking for a dedicated and talented After School Tutor to become part of our t eam!
The schedule is Monday-Thursday, 2 : 30pm-4 : 30pm. Tutors will receive $80 per day.
Summary
The Home Instructor of Foundation Academies will collaborate with the Classroom Teacher(s) to provide the appropriate accommodations and modifications to the set curriculum by identifying the individual needs of scholars in a home setting, creating a supportive and effective learning environment, and ensuring scholars have the resources they need to succeed.
Home Instructors will work with scholars with various behavioral and medical needs to ensure they continue to make academic gains when outside of the school setting.
Requirements
- You preferably have 2+ years working in an urban or low-income setting and you understand how to get your students excited about learning.
- You are committed to living out our mission.
- You possess or are eligible for NJ certification
- You have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00 (if graduated after Sept 2015) or 2.75 (before Sept 2015) for certification requirements

Supporting / Additional Documents Requested
- Semifinalist candidates will be required to provide unofficial transcripts, evidence of certification / eligibility, and 3 professional references.
- Hired candidates are responsible for the following : official transcripts, criminal clearance (fingerprinting), and medical clearance (TB / Mantoux testing) as required by NJDOE.
