Finance Manager- Baltimore, MD- 100% remote for DMV candidates
About the Company and Finance Manager Opportunity :
- CFS is partnering with a repeat non profit client to help them find a Finance Manager on a contract to hire basis
- For the right candidate, this position could become a permanent position.

- This role is remote but candidates MUST BE local to the DC, Maryland, Virginia areas. Candidates should be able to travel on site to the Baltimore area if necessary.
- Laptop provided by organization
- Schedule : Monday-Friday, flexibility to work an 8 hour day between 7am and 7pm, schedule dependent on the day and appointments with other foreign offices
- Reports to the Manager of Global Finance
- Salary $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience
- Anticipated start date : July 9, 2024
Job Duties of the Finance Manager :
- Responsible for supporting financial management of the program including potential field office operations to align with USAID.
- Manage the program budget, track project spending and ensure reports comply with all restricted award regulations and provisions.
- Prepare timely and accurate quarterly reports, expenditure reports, cost share ledgers and projections in accordance with restricted donor agreement.
- Manage sub-partner financial management and monitor activities to align with USAID rules and regulations.
- Ensure proper financial documentation and reporting, establish and provide direction and management of program funds.
- Monitor the program budget and coordinate regularly with the rest of the program team on budgeting.
- Update program information in the financial system.
- Manage preparation of expenditure projections for monthly and quarterly review meetings. Continuously update working budgets and staffing allocations for assigned portfolio.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the Finance Manager role :
- 5+ years' accounting experience - preferably working for a non profit organization of at least $10M in revenue
- Experience collaborating on a USAID program required
- Experience managing a prime bid or buy-in mechanism beneficial
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, Finance or related preferred
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience using QuickBooks a plus
- Ability to speak French or Spanish beneficial, but not required
- Must be able to pass a background check and a finance assessment
