This position is responsible for assisting and advising the organization with understanding requirements and implementation of programs to maintain regulatory compliance.

The position also must identify trends in EHS performance and create interventions to improve.

This position may possess specific technical expertise to help provide guidance to the organization. Responsibilities

• EHS special projects.
• Asses EHS exposures and risks relevant to expertise.
• Coordinate and participate in emergency response.
• Coordinate with contractors.
• Develop strategies to address issues.
• Reporting.
• Areas of concern identified and addressed by strategies and programs. 5% :
• Customer Interactions
• Maintaining Third Party Contractor Management database.
• Customer safety meetings & site visits.
• Incident investigations on customer sites.
• Current information in Third Party Management Database.
• Investigation reports provided in timely manner. 50% :
• Site Visits for assigned sites.
• Announced visits.
• Specialized training.
• Safety meetings.
• Lead EHS audits.
• General EHS support of site and assigned EHS personnel.
• Set goal with manager for site visits.
• Assist sites as requested in a timely manner.
• Audits, inspections, and training provided as expected. 20% :
• Developing EHS systems.
• Develop and implement procedures.
• Conduct risk assessment and identify controls.
• Analyze EHS data and propose solutions.
• Identification of issues and solutions provided.
• Identify the types of interaction an incumbent in this position would have with other employees, departments, organizations, both inside and outside the Company.
• Type of Work Interaction (i.e.

work with coworker, work with vendor).

Interaction Intent (i.e.

report information, create RFQ, negotiate, answer questions).

• Work with site and EHS managers to identify hazards related to EHS and come up with strategies to address risk and ensure compliance.
• Risk management and regulatory compliance to protect the employees and the Company.
• Work with vendors that provide EHS services such as monitoring and / or sampling of the work environment to identify exposure issues.
• Identify EHS hazards in the work environment to understand exposure risks and manage / abate those risks.
• Educate Company EHS and Operational leadership on regulatory compliance issues and EHS risks within the operation while providing guidance on suitable means for addressing the risk.
• Ensure protection of the workers, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications
• Occupational safety regulations.
• Environmental regulations.
• Industry best practices and / or standards bodies.
• Demonstrated involvement in programs and strategies to improve Health and Safety performance and compliance.
• Communication and training skills.
• Project Management skills.
• Supervisory and Management Duties.
• This position will not have direct reports, but they will be responsible for supporting other EHS personnel and operational leadership. Education / Experience :
• Education and Training H.S.

Degree / GED College Degree Certification / License*

• Bachelor’s in a science related field preferred.
• Preferred specialty training and desired Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP).
