Network Design Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Design Manager to lead and manage our network design team. Responsible for overseeing the planning, design, and implementation of our telecommunications network infrastructure.

You will lead a team of network designers and engineers to ensure that our network architecture meets the company's strategic objectives and delivers high performance, reliability, and scalability .

This role requires a strategic thinker who can manage, provide direction, and ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement network design strategies that align with the company's business goals and objectives.
• Lead a team of network designers and engineers in the planning, design, and implementation of telecommunications network infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of network solutions.
• Evaluate new technologies and products to enhance the performance and efficiency of the network infrastructure.
• Define network design standards, best practices, and processes to ensure consistency and quality across projects.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of network designs to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
• Extensive experience in carrier or ISP networks with a solid background in routing or access technologies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to foster their professional development and growth.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers to procure network equipment and services as needed.
• Monitor network performance and capacity to identify and address potential issues proactively.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to inform network design decisions.
• Management-level experience with design, installation, and support of access technologies such as Fiber to the Home (FTTH).
• Management-level, experience with installation, configuration, and management of access network platforms such as Calix and Adtran would be nice to have.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network design and architecture, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
• Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Core route / switch network design experience, Cisco preferred, but other major vendors would be acceptable (Juniper, Nokia, etc)
• In-depth knowledge of networking technologies, protocols, and standards (e.g., TCP / IP, MPLS, BGP, OSPF).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with network design tools and software, such as Cisco Packet Tracer, GNS3, or similar.
• Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are a plus.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Computer literate with an emphasis on Microsoft Office and functional knowledge of CAD / GIS systems software.
