This is a high visible and impactful role, you will lead a product management team consisting of a geographically distributed team of product owners to build and bring to market our next generation of infrastructure and operating system that are poised to revolutionize the application security and delivery market.

This position will lead a team of product managers to :

  • Set long term business goals, build annual product plans and delineate business priorities.
  • Formulate product strategy and roadmap that delivers on F5 mission and business objectives.
  • Prioritize product investments, frame roadmap and set the execution sequence with transparency and rigor.
  • Engage in primary customer research to bring the market insights that define product direction.
  • Work closely with sales to identify growth opportunities and execute product and GTM initiatives to drive execution against annual plan.
  • Represent product area in quarterly product business reviews, articulating the state of the business and framing initiatives to drive growth.
  • Work closely with engineering leaders to define execution priorities against goals and support with business context and trade offs to optimize product delivery against business objectives.
  • Engage with customers to drive adoption of products.
  • Collaborate closely with cross functional stakeholders across marketing, support, manufacturing and commercial models to clearly articulate dependencies and enable aligned execution.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Define quarterly business plans, working closely with General Manager and drive to achieve business results.
  • Set product vision and direction and articulate the strategy, in line with broader F5 strategy.
  • Lead the team in building product roadmap and drive product execution to deliver differentiated products.
  • Collaborate with cross functional leaders to deliver on product goals and fiscal objectives.
  • Attract and grow industry leading product management talent that excels in data driven decision making, business orientation, communication excellence and technical acumen.
  • Represent product area in sales and customer facing forums, including conferences and industry events.
  • Build a diverse, highly inclusive and collaborative team that takes pride in making each other successful.
  • Coach, mentor and enable the success of a highly talented team of product managers and product owners.

REQUIRED SKILLS EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Can do attitude and passion to make customers and colleagues successful.
  • Passion for leading teams and contributing to the career development of individuals.
  • Ownership mindset with the natural inclinations to take challenges head on and deliver impact.
  • Bias towards data driven decision making that incorporates analytical rigor and managerial judgment.
  • Proven track record as a product manager leader or engineer leader with experience in B2B solutions and SaaS.
  • Demonstrated ability working across engineering, product management, release management, support etc.
  • Ability to straddle across strategy, technical depth and execution in product delivery.
  • Analytically minded. Strong bias towards data driven decision making mentality.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of networking, application delivery and application security concepts.
  • Minimum of a Bachelors in engineering required. Graduate degree in science, engineering or business is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, engineering or business development.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is : $250,800.00 - $376,200.00

F5 maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, geographic locations, and market conditions, as well as to reflect F5’s differing products, industries, and lines of business.

The pay range referenced is as of the time of the job posting and is subject to change.
