m. - 7 a.m.) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Proficient in neonatal resuscitation, treating respiratory and infectious diseases in young patients License : Active pediatric license required, Colorado licensure highly preferred Certifications : Board Certified in Pediatrics, Active BLS, DEA Must-Have : - Understanding of electronic medical record (EMR) training requirements- Availability for stipulated dates in the job description - Clean malpractice / background check Job Description : - Provide locum call coverage for pediatric patients during holidays and other dates as needed.
- Participate in a virtual EMR training session before starting the position to ensure readiness and avoid missed shifts.
- Perform initial resuscitation and management for all high-risk deliveries, including unplanned C-sections and preterm births.
- Occasionally attend deliveries and C-sections as required.- Patients primarily consist of newborns, infants, and older adolescents under special criteria.
- Handle a caseload involving approximately 40-50 pediatric admissions per year, including through emergency department and direct admission.
- Required to participate in Medicaid to prescribe medication to patients, with 80% of them being Medicaid patients.- The role involves no ICU situations;
primarily focused on pediatric floor coverage.- Express any discomfort with case types upon arrival to ensure suitable assignments.
