Overview Schedule : Sunday - Thursday / 6 : 00am - 2 : 30pm Purpose Statement / Position Summary : The Maintenance Helper II performs preventive, corrective maintenance and project related duties of a recognized skilled craft or trade while assisting a journey-level carpenter, electrician, plumber, HVAC or maintenance mechanic.

Typically specializes in one or more of the construction craft trades such as Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing or Refrigeration, and works at a skill level equivalent to that of an advanced apprentice.

Performs routine Preventive Maintenance which does not require the skills of a journey-level craft technician on various pieces of hospital equipment and systems.

Minimum Qualifications / Work Experience : 2+ years of on-the-job construction and / or maintenance experience. Hospital experience highly preferred.

Barrier containment set-up experience strongly preferred. Education / Licensure / Certifications : Trade school construction maintenance training courses.

Pay Scale Information $42,016.00-$72,478.00 CHLA values the contribution each Team Member brings to our organization. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry.

The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this specific job description.
