Product Owner
Must Haves :
- Bachelors’ degree in technical discipline or related field or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of project management experience
- 5+ years of Salesforce experience, specifically with the Field Service module
- Experience serving a Product Owner on a mature agile team
- Experience with breaking down Epics and Features into User Stories and maintaining a prioritized and well-groomed backlog
- In-depth knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, XP, TDD), concepts and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data analysis and reporting
- First-level Agile Certification (e.g., CSPO, CSM, PSPO)
- Experience using agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, VersionOne, Rally)
Day to Day
An enterprise medical device company is seeking a Product Owner to join their team remotely. The role involves partnering with the Technical Product Manager to analyze stakeholder needs and align the product roadmap with strategic business goals and objectives.
This includes translating Epics and Features into detailed User Stories, mapping the value proposition back to high-level requirements, and defining story acceptance criteria.
The role also defines sprint objectives through continuous prioritization of stories in the product backlog and is responsible for the entire life cycle of a User Story, from creation to delivery.
Additionally, it involves leading Sprint Reviews and Demos, clearly communicating value delivery to stakeholders, and leading Solution Design Sessions with business, development, and testing resources to refine technical story requirements.
The role owns technical documentation, including release notes, requirement specifications, and technical project status and risks, and is accountable for the execution and continuous improvement of the agile team.
It also includes reviewing and publishing Knowledge Articles, anticipating customer and stakeholder needs at the story level, acting as the primary communicator between stakeholders and teams for User Stories, and ensuring stakeholder buy-in on all story requirements and acceptance criteria.
