JOBSUMMARY & PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS
REPORTS TO : School Principal and Teacher
DEPARTMENT NAME : VariousSchools
JOB SUMMARY (2-3 sentences) : Provides academic assistance to at-riskstudents who are struggling academically. Designs and implements the instructional intervention in collaborationwith the teacher of record.
Provides an evaluation of student progress to theeducational team working with the student but does not provide grades.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS : List, inthe order of time spent, the essential tasks performed by the position. Employees may be assigned additional dutiesby management as required :
Job Responsibility 1 :
Collects, analyzes and utilizes student assessment data as a basis for instruction in collaboration with the teacher of record.
Job Responsibility 2 :
Attends and participates in staff meetings, planning / training sessions. Participates in joint curriculum planning sessions.
Job Responsibility 3 :
Provides an evaluation of student progress to the educational team working with the student but does not provide grades.
Job Responsibility 4 :
Designs and implements the instructional intervention in collaboration with the teacher of record.
Job Responsibility 5 :
Provides instructional support as part of classroom instruction assisting the teacher and in small group instruction outside of the classroom instructional time.
Job Responsibility 6 :
Implements strategies outlined within the school’s improvement plan.
Job Responsibility 7 :
Develops a good relationship with the students that allows for a safe academic environment.
Job Responsibility 8 :
Records student progress and provides feedback to teachers.
