TRANSPORTATION DELIVERY DRIVER FULL TIME, NON-EXEMPT HOURLY POSITION Position Summary : The Distribution / Transportation Crew Member is responsible for the daily loading and delivering of product to stores as assigned.
This position reports to the Transportation Supervisor.Up to $. per hour DOE Essential Functions : - Perform pre- and post-trip checks for all deliveries.
- Maintain all paperwork including log books, master sheets, fuel receipts, delivery invoices, over / short sheets, and any other necessary paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with stores to let them know expected arrival time and call supervisor to authorize any store returns.
- Remove all trash from tractor trailer after routes and ensure doors and windows are properly secured before leaving for the day- Must be able to operate all equipment and have knowledge to maintain equipment to meet compliance guidelines - Must be able to deliver to assigned routes in a safe and timely manner - Must work with stores in a professional and courteous manner
Qualifications / Physical Requirements (Education / Training / Experience / Abilities) : - Must be able to operate both automatic and manual transmissions in both a safe and legal manner.
- Must possess current Class A CDL driver’s license and have DOT knowledge.- Must possess a polite and friendly attitude.
- Must be neat and clean in appearance.- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.- Must be familiar and proficient with all commissary / warehouse duties.
- Ability move / lift up to lbs unassisted- The employee is frequently required to sit, speak and hear. - The employee is constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate objects, tools, or controls;
and reach with hands and arms. - Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
