Job Description

Founded in 1921, Straub Medical Center includes a 159-bed hospital in Honolulu, a network of neighborhood clinics and a visiting specialist program that reaches throughout the state of Hawai'i.

With over 200 physicians who are leaders in their fields, Straub provides its patients with diagnoses and treatments for more than 32 different medical specialties, including bone and joint, heart, cancer, endocrinology / diabetes, family medicine, gastroenterology, geriatric medicine, internal medicine, vascular and urology.

Straub is home to the Pacific Region’s only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. The hospital consistently brings new technologies and innovative medical practices to Hawai'i, such as minimally invasive cardiac surgery and total joint replacement.

The Oncology Care Unit department strives to provide competent and safe care to patients admitted for acute nursing interventions of 24 hours or more.

Our highly trained and professional staff treats people recovering from serious illness requiring telemetry monitoring, oncology treatment, orthopedic and major surgeries.

Medication and treatments are provided in a warm and caring environment that facilitates swift recovery.

As the Clinical Assistant, you will join the team of accomplished clinical professionals providing exceptional health care services at Straub.

In this role, you will help to perform a variety of nursing and health care procedures, as well as certain clerical services.

We are looking for someone attentive and dedicated, with a fine-tuned sense of responsibility, the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented atmosphere, and a commitment to creating a healthier Hawai i.

Work Schedule : Day / Night - 12 Hours

Minimum Qualifications : High school or equivalent. Completion of nurse aide course with certification or completion of nursing fundamentals.

Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.

Preferred Qualifications : Current Hawai’i Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certificate. One (1) year clerical experience in a health care setting.

One (1) year clinical experience.

Hawai i Pacific Health offers a comprehensive and competitive total rewards package that includes pay and benefits. The pay rate, if displayed, is the minimum hourly rate for the position.

Rate of pay for selected candidates will be determined by various factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training, as well as internal peer equity.
