Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS), a subsidiary of Amazon.com and a leader in cloud computing, is seeking an experienced and data-driven Marketing Business Analyst to join our high-performing marketing team.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for analyzing marketing data, uncovering insights, and providing strategic recommendations to drive business growth and optimize marketing performance.

Key job responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets from various sources (e.g., web analytics, marketing automation, CRM, social media) to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive dashboards and reports to track key marketing metrics, campaign performance, and return on investment (ROI).
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, product, finance) to understand business objectives, gather requirements, and translate them into actionable data analysis and insights.
  • Design and execute ad-hoc analyses, experiments, and models to answer specific business questions and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Conduct in-depth market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation studies to inform marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations and actionable insights to optimize marketing campaigns, channels, and tactics for maximum impact and efficiency.
  • Assist in the development of marketing plans, forecasts, and budgets by providing data-driven insights and projections.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership, through clear and compelling data visualizations and presentations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in marketing analytics and data analysis.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.

The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success.

AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience

Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Experience with SQL

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, Eloqua, HubSpot) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus.

Familiarity with multi-touch attribution models.

Project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

Intellectual curiosity, a passion for data-driven decision-making, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,900 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $143,100 / year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
