Job Summary Under the direction of the Superintendent, organizes and streamlines accounts payable and receivable, maintaining accurate documentation and records, and resolving billing issues for the Veteran Assistance Commission of Cook County (VACCC).

Reconciles spreadsheets, ensuring the integrity of financial reports, conducting internal audits, and managing expenditure controls.

Requires proficiency in data management, including coding, logging, and maintaining electronic and paper records. Creates databases and track services, generate reports, provide financial analysis, and process bank reconciliations.

Assists with research on veteran issues, supporting office administration tasks, and acting as the VACCC Superintendent in their absence. Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, or a directly related field and
  • Five (5) years of experience in accounting, business, finance or a directly related field and
  • Three (3) years of prior supervisory experience is required. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using Legistar, Oracle Hyperion or Oracle BI. Candidates who are contacted will be required to produce original required documents (e.

Physical Requirements : Sedentary Work involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
