Minimum 1+ years paraprofessional or special education experience required.
Behavior Technician
Employment Type : Contract (W2), Full-time or Part-Time
Duration : 2024 / 2025 School Year
Pay Rate : $24an hour
Primary Responsibilities :
- Support students (Grades K-12) on a 1 : 1, small group, or classroom level.
- Collect student data as directed by Behavior Analyst or Special Education Teacher.
- Maintain calmness, flexibility and professional attitude with students, supervisors,and colleagues.
- Properly de-escalate students with aggressive or turbulent behaviors.
- Assist students with personal needs as necessary.
- Excellent attendance and reliability is vital to this role.
Requirements :
- Prior experience as a Special Education Paraprofessional in a school setting preferred.
- Previous experience working with children with special needs, such as babysitting, tutoring, or other form of childcare.
- Familiarity working with a wide range of age groups in a plus.
- Must be comfortable assisting with personal needs (toileting, feeding, diapering)
- Preferential consideration for applicants with Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certifications.
