Senior Accountant

Job Description

• Conduct the preparation and assessment of financial statements following US GAAP standards.
• Create various types of journal entries, including recurring, accrual, and intercompany entries.
• Keep comprehensive reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement.
• Offer detailed analysis and clarifications on any discrepancies.
• Manage fixed assets accounts.
• Review inventory reconciliations for correctness and completeness.
• Prepare requisite documentation and clarifications for external reporting, audits, and tax inquiries.
• Utilize the internal ERP system for accurate and timely data retrieval and reporting.
• Identify and execute process enhancements to improve efficiency and precision.
• Provide support for ad-hoc reporting or projects when required.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university; preference for a focus in Accounting or Finance.
• 2-4+ years of hands-on experience as an accounting lead, demonstrating a strong grasp of general accounting principles and best practices;

industry or CPG experience is highly desirable.

• Possesses exceptional organizational skills and adeptness in prioritization / time management; demonstrates the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines and manage responsibilities for multiple clients simultaneously.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, showcasing the ability to manipulate data effectively and derive valuable insights.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Oracle, is a plus.
