Job Summary :
The RN - Wound Care will provide high-quality nursing care, specializing in wound management and colostomy care. The nurse will perform assessments, develop care plans, and execute wound care treatments while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide skilled nursing care, focusing on wound management and colostomy care.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ wounds and overall health.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on wound care techniques and management.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient care.
- Document patient progress and treatment responses accurately in medical records.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications :
- Experience : Minimum of 2 years of med / surg experience required; wound and colostomy experience preferred.
- Education : Must possess a valid New York State RN License and Primary Source Verification. AHA BLS certification is also required.
- Certifications : Wound Care Certification is mandatory.
Skills :
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in wound care and management techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Language Requirements :
English : Read, Write, Speak
Additional Information :
- This position may require occasional travel to patient homes for consultations.
