The Role
The Opportunity
As QuidelOrtho continues to grow, we are seeking a Warehouse Supervisor with responsibility for supervising the warehouse staff, coordinating logistical processes, ensuring quality of goods, and preparing relevant documentation according to detailed operational specification.
Responsible for prioritizing shipping requirements, coordinating staff, and the flow of materials to meet shipping schedules.
Is also responsible for quality and maintaining the highest standards in compliance within company policies, procedures and all applicable regulations.
Manages and oversees all warehouse activities, ensures efficient processes, and maximizes warehouse productivity. Responsible for performance management of the warehouse personnel.
This position is located in Raritan, NJ
The Responsibilities
Plan, organize, supervise and participate in daily warehouse operation and activities, including the receipt, documentation, storage, safety and distribution of equipment, supplies and maintaining inventory.
Train warehouse employees. Develop Area Training / Cross-Training Plan and identify development opportunities for direct reports.
Supervise warehouse employees and assign workload. Create goals and objectives and development plans for direct reports, deliver feedback and monitor performance.
Follow warehouse processes within assigned area(s).
Follow leadership competencies based on level within the organization.
Review and documentation of non-conformances and complaints in shipping and receiving.
Adhere to the safety code of Conduct & QuidelOrtho EHS policies and attend all required EHS training.
Enforce appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in manufacturing areas.
Lead direct reports to take necessary action to eliminate safety hazards and communicate to others any observed unsafe behaviors.
Understand and utilize Quality Management and systems to support production compliance and carry out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines such as : FDA, TUV, EPA and OSHA.
Responsible for audit preparation and participation.
Communicate business status to direct reports and management.
Lead regular team meetings to discuss business and production status.
Promote and work within a team environment, demonstrating positive team-oriented approach in the daily execution of work.
Utilize ERP system for performing material transactions / moves / quantities / cycle count.
Use of purchasing systems to support staffing and shipments. Ordering supplies and maintaining suitable inventory levels.
Resolve resource issues and resolve employee relations in partnership with HR.
Recruit talent to support production requirements.
Use Lean methodology to drive streamlined business processes. Actively lead Kaizens and Gemba initiatives.
Utilize business and process metrics to drive continuous improvement.
The Individual
Required :
Associates’ Degree required with minimum of 5 years of warehousing experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a warehouse supervisor or a similar leadership position.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry software.
Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and management.
Strong time management skills.
Ability to delegate.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred
Bachelors’ Degree with degree in business, management, logistics or a related field

The Work Environment
The work environment characteristics are representative of an office environment. Up to 75% of time at desk, standing or sitting extended periods of time.
No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials (up to 10 lbs.) is required.
Will require domestic and international travel up to 20%. Ability to travel on short notice.
Salary Transparency
The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data.
At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
The salary range for this position is 67,000.00 - 114,000.00 annually. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays.
