Responsibilities

Noblis is seeking to hire a Data Scientist with an ACTIVE Top Secret Clearance.

As a Data Scientist, you will be at the core of the data-driven decision-making process, leveraging advanced analytical techniques to extract insights and drive strategic initiatives.

You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities that can enhance mission performance.

Your role will involve developing and deploying predictive models, algorithms, and statistical analyses to solve complex problems and optimize processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their need and translate them into actionable insights.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for utilizing big data technologies and knowledge of data science models to analyze large amounts of data and create valuable insights.
  • Find and design new approaches to handling, analyzing, and using large volumes of data sets.
  • Explore fundamental issues with data handling, search, and retention.
  • Solve complex data and storage issues.
  • Design new software coding to improve data search processes.
  • Design, test and validate the quality of the data and data processes.
  • Identify and interpret meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources.
  • Analyze and report results with actionable recommendations.
  • Communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments to client.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (in computer science, data science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline) with 8 years of experience;

Additional six (6) years of experience is considered in lieu of a degree.

  • Experience developing predictive and decision models, quantitative analysis, and visualization of target data sources.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience eliciting and decomposing stakeholder requirements into analytics.
  • Experience communicating complex data science concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong self-organization and self-management skills, with emphasis on self-initiation, teamwork and follow through.
  • Strong professional and interpersonal skills.
  • Strive to improve yourself, team, and process through teamwork, communication, idea-sharing, collaboration, and problem-solving.
  • ActiveTop Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Apache Hive, Apache Spark, Hadoop, and R programming.
  • Knowledge of commercial cloud platforms, services, and technologies such as Amazon Web Services, MS Azure, and / or Google Cloud.

Salary at Noblis is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the combination of education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, internal and external equity, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws.

The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and are based on full time status. Part time staff receive a prorated salary based on regularly scheduled hours.

The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements), and is just one component of Noblis' total compensation package for employees.

USD $102,690.00 - USD $160,470.00 / Yr.
