SageSure, a leader in catastrophe-exposed property insurance, is seeking a Senior Data Product Owner Analytics Engineering.

This role helps to create and make decisions around both the vision and roadmap for the data products, addresses concerns about the satisfaction of the data customers, and continuously measures and improves the quality and richness of the data her / his domain owns and produces.

This is a great opportunity to work with an amazing technical data team and facilitate our collective mission to deliver actionable datasets at appropriate levels of curation for innovation, actuarial, BI analyst, data scientist, and software application data customers.

You are a passionate advocate for your stakeholders and will drive the deliverables to completion. You are a true owner of the data products produced and are accountable to their level of analytical business value delivery.

What you’d be doing :

  • Manage all stages of the data development lifecycle, overseeing ingestion through product delivery of core, enterprise-wide tables.
  • Investigate existing data usage patterns and influence changes when new data assets are introduced.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of current and future stakeholder needs.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to design and deliver products that offer insights for strategic and tactical decision-making.
  • Work closely with the Director of Data Engineering to execute strategic priorities.
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively and simplify complex ideas for others within the organization.
  • Prioritize data request backlogs and handle incoming tickets, facilitating requirements gathering and translating them into executable work.
  • Be accountable for end-to-end product delivery and collaborate on launch communication, training, and ongoing adoption strategies.
  • Provide ongoing support to stakeholders and end-users of data products.
  • Monitor data product use to assist platform partners in making invest / divest decisions.
  • Evaluate product progress and quality at each stage of the process.
  • Collaborate with data leadership and project management to meet deadlines and ensure the highest utility and quality of data work products.

We’re looking for someone who has :

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience as an analyst, ETL developer, or IT / data project manager.
  • Experience in an Agile (Scrum / Kanban / etc.) environment.
  • Proven experience working effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, JIRA, Asana, or similar for requirements capturing and task management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Self-starter with a growth mindset.
  • Familiarity with data engineering concepts, including ETL pipelines and data warehouse infrastructure.

Highly preferred candidates also have :

  • Agile and / or project management certification(s).
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in Personal or Commercial lines carrier.
