The number one outlet center in the LA area seeking to hire a General Manager responsible for maximizing tenant sales and the overall shopping experience by providing a clean, well-maintained, safe, friendly, and aesthetically pleasing environment while ensuring the implementation of all Craig Realty Group standards.
The General Manager oversees the property management and marketing of the center including tenant relations, physical plant operations and maintenance, supervision of in-house personnel, and contracted services.
The General Manager is responsible for the financial and operational performance of Citadel Outlets, and demonstrates knowledge in retail, leasing, development, and property management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and monitor annual goals and objectives.
- Oversee the operations, security, custodial, landscape, and marketing departments of the shopping center.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage the annual CAM budget for the center.
- Oversee the management, training, and hiring of all onsite personnel for the center.
- Develop strong working relationships with all store managers and regional / corporate tenant contacts.
- Develop and manage additional income opportunities for the center.
- Ensure OSHA compliance programs are in place and up to date.
- Assist in the process of developing and implementing a strong marketing program to drive sales at the center.
- Monitor store sales on a monthly basis, and center traffic on a weekly basis.
- Assist in the process of developing a strong customer service program and incentive program to improve customer service for both onsite staff and tenant store personnel.
- Work in conjunction with the leasing department to assist in developing a target list of appropriate tenants for the center.
- Oversee that the highest standards are maintained for the center, including both from an in-house overview as well as with tenants and their storefront policy compliance.
- Work closely in developing strong working partnerships with the surrounding communities.
- Actively participate in local and regional business associations.
- Develop and manage the center's emergency / disaster plan ensuring that all personnel are trained as appropriate to function as an emergency task force capable of a crisis management response if necessary.
- Process all payables and expense reimbursements monthly.
- Ensure thorough personnel record keeping and documentation.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals of center staff.
- Conduct monthly tenant manager's meetings.
- Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree (BA / BS) from a four-year college or university. In lieu of a BA / BS degree, must have ten or more additional years of related experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of related experience and / or training is preferred.
- Experience preparing reliable forecasts and budgets.
- Extensive experience with MS Office applications is required.

- Must have strong organization and coordination skills.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents and transactions.
- Must have strong team-building and coaching skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to identify and analyze problems with limited information, and then recommend a resolution.
