Overview
The Accountant will support the company's general business activities and report to the Controller. Accountant will be accountable for managing AR / AP, processing payroll, processing client billing and assisting clients with invoicing / billing questions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Process daily check receipts and remote deposits.
- Process weekly / monthly client invoices and credit memos as required.
- Closely monitor accounts receivable, contact clients via email and phone call regarding past due invoices, advise payment options.
- Work with clients on invoicing / billing questions.
- Pay vendor bills via check / ACH / Vendor payment portal and handle vendor requests.
- Enter positive pay information, manage ACH exceptions.
- Process semi-monthly payroll, year-end checklist.
- Process monthly employee expense reimbursement.
- Prepare and distribute monthly sales commission reports.
- File monthly Sales / Use Tax Report.
- Assist month-end closing as needed.
- Perform monthly credit card reconciliation.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for 2 companies.
- Coordinate with insurance agency for yearly payroll audit.
- Other duties as requested.
Skills & Experience :
- 5 years of bookkeeping / accounting experience.
- Knowledge of ConnectWise is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft products.
- Proficient with QuickBooks.
- Client service attitude with excellent interaction skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
Transportation :
Must have a reliable car, valid driver's license, and valid vehicle insurance.
