Vice President of Marketing
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Griffin Groupe is seeking talented marketing and business development professionals to work with our client in the IOT and Industrial Wi-Fi industry.
The overall purpose of this position is to lead the global sales and business development in the semiconductor industry with particular expertise for Wi-Fi SoC products which are 802.
11abgn, 802.11ah, 802.11ac, 802.11ax, etc., with a focus on the commercialization in the US and North America region for the world’s first 802.
11ah (Wi-Fi HaLow) SOC chipset solution.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Aggressively diversify the revenue stream by global sales, especially in the US and China region to meet target revenue.
- Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedules to call on existing or potential sales outlets.
- Adjust content of sales presentations by researching wireless connectivity marketplace information including Wi-Fi market trends and forecasts.
- Focus sales efforts by researching existing and potential volume of dealers.
- Submit orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
- Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommend changes in products, services, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational conferences / workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or other related degree; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5-10 years of business experience with an increasing track record of management responsibility.
- Overall business acumen, strategic thinking, sound judgment, experience in strategic planning and implementation, marketing, international business;
financial skills including budget development, forecasting, analysis; project management experience and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Results-driven individual with proven accomplishments.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to cultivate and motivate a marketing and sales-force.
- Strong analytical ability to formulate short- and long-term plans and objectives resulting in the achievement of target revenue goals on time.
- Demonstrable skills in scalable product management process improvement initiatives.
- Proven success in leading global sales in wireless connectivity solutions such as Wi-Fi, BT, Cellular, etc.
- Sound financial analysis and modeling skills; must be able to build financial statements if required.
- Excellent presentation skills to audiences of all sizes and backgrounds.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and motivate a marketing and / or sales team.
- Must be able to set direction and provide coaching to staff.
- Ability to influence and manage priorities.
- Must be a technologically savvy knowledge worker who seeks out technology solutions to business challenges.
