Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Gastroenterology (IU Health University Hospital)

We are hiring an Advanced Practice Provider to join our dynamic, academic Gastroenterology team!Â

Job Description :

• Full-time, Day Shift 4 10-hour shifts per week (8 : 00am-6 : 00pm or 7 : 00am-5 : 00pm) No weekends, holidays, or call
• 20% inpatient (POCU) / 75% outpatient (clinic)
• Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) focused, which is a procedure that uses a specialized endoscope and X-rays to diagnose and treat diseases of the bile ducts and pancreas.

 (O ur specialists at University Hospital perform more ERCP procedures than any other single center in North America. Our team is known for performing complex ERCP procedures and for participating in significant research studies that have shaped the treatment of pancreas and bile duct diseases ).

• Will practice at the DaLD Clinc as well as ERCP POCU inside IU Health University Hospital
• Will be working directly with 1-2Â physicians and 2Â APPs

Responsibilities :

• Evaluation and management of patients with pancreaticobiliary disease who rely on our expertise to expediently evaluate, treat, and schedule ERCP and EUS procedures for complex pancreaticobiliary diseases.
• 4, 1 / 2-day outpatient clinic sessions per week and at least 2, 1 / 2 days in POCU of ERCP.
• Collaborative care, shared practice model of MD-APP
• Work with team pre and post ERCP procedure to ensure quality of care and smooth transitions.
• Have dedicated clinic schedules with collaborating physicians to see patients' pre and post op, after discharge, and new pancreaticobiliary patients.
• No procedural requirements, but APPs do preprocedural ERCP education / H&Ps, and consents prior to ERCP procedures in the POCU.

Qualifications :

• Master's Degree Required
• Accepting BE / BC FNPs, ACNPs, and PAs
• APP experience preferred, GI APP experience highly preferredÂ
• Open to highly motivated new graduates with a strong interest in GIÂ
