The Axis Agency is looking for a Senior Copywriter to join its Los Angeles practice.

The ideal candidate must be fully bilingual with advanced experience conceptualizing and writing results-oriented advertising and marketing content for agency projects which may include film, online video, web content, mobile, social media, and print.

We are looking for someone who will be equally devoted to large projects as well as small ones. The Senior Copywriter must be persuasive in presenting and selling concepts to internal teams, senior company leaders and clients.

The person in this role will generate and execute creative ideas that are engaging and aligned with the overall marketing strategy.

The Senior Copywriter works in partnership with an Art Director and may be assigned to one account or a portfolio of accounts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Concept Development / Copywriting

• Collaborates with an Art Director then develops, and presents creative concepts for assigned clients and new business
• Create campaign theme ideas for individual communications that are on strategy and meet client objectives
• Works closely with Art Director to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with visual tone, style, and brand guidelines
• Uses planning data and briefings to establish a creative strategy
• Must be able to understand business objectives and audience demographics for the purpose of using such knowledge to successfully communicate through copy content
• Responsible for translating creative direction and copy points from creative briefs into engaging and effective concepts
• Incorporate client feedback as appropriate
• May participate in client presentations
• Assist in the creation of new business pitches and decks

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• BFA or Degree from a respected advertising program or university
• Exceptional portfolio that includes integrated work

Professional Experience

• 5 - 7 years writing multi-cultural content
• Prior experience at the Junior Copywriter or Copywriter level

• Advanced knowledge of copywriting best practices for web, mobile, social media and print

• Ability to partner with Art Director to deliver great content
• Can prioritize multiple tasks and manage time in a consistent manner

• Can meet deadlines consistently
• Attention to detail
• Participate in and may lead creative reviews and brainstorm sessions
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Passion to generate big ideas and execute them flawlessly
• Great work ethic with an ability to manage multiple client projects and work in a fast-paced environment
• Mastery of storytelling
• Excellent grammar and punctuation review
