Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Security Engineer Journeyman to join our team in the Aberdeen, MD area.

This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Cybersecurity Requirements : Performs a variety of Cybersecurity tasks. NCWF Code : 541 Category.

Support authorized penetration testing on enterprise network assets.

Assist in maintaining a deployable cyber defense audit toolkit (e.g., specialized cyber defense software and hardware) to support cyber defense audit missions.

Maintain knowledge of applicable cyber defense policies, regulations, and compliance documents specifically related to cyber defense auditing.

Assist in the preparation of audit reports that identify technical and procedural findings, and provide recommended remediation strategies / solutions.

DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) and the NIST Special Publication 800-181 spells out the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's) in detail to be combined with the DoD 8140 Directive of compliance to on the job certification requirements.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science, or other Engineering or Technical discipline with an Information Security or Cyber Security Concentration.

4+ years of relevant test engineering experience within the last 5 years

IAT Level II Certification

Security Clearance Requirements :

Active Secret

Ability to obtain a TS / SCI

Physical Requirements :

The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $79,300-$133,100. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary / hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
