Vaco is working with an industry leading specialty distribution company that is looking for a Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager in the Bensalem area.
Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of GAAP and a good background in corporate general ledger accounting. We need someone who can own the month end close and complete variance analysis projects and reporting when needed.
Once trained and once this person has a good handle on the job there will be opportunities to prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements including balance sheet, income, and cash flow statements.
Strong reconciliation and journal entry skills will be paramount in this role as well as some experience with fixed assets and long-term debt analysis.
There will also be times where the person in this role will help provide support for tax returns and filings and support audit engagements with third party firms.
Other areas that this person might help support at times include lease accounting research, payroll, bank covenant testing, and 401k reporting.
There will also be opportunities to help build budgets and forecasts with several different department leaders and help those departments to manage and monitor those budgets and forecasts throughout the year, specifically with providing root cause analysis on variances.
Base salary will be in the 100k to 130k range depending on experience, background, technical accounting skill set, and how the interview process unfolds.
There will also be a 5% to 10% discretionary bonus and a 401k plan with company match.
