Qualifications :

Education, Licensure, and Experience :

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s degree in healthcare, business or other related field or a combination of relevant experience and education is required is required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales, business development, and / or relationship management, preferably within healthcare / dental benefits or dental practice / DSO space.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of workforce management experience and knowledge of effective supervisory / management practices required. 5+ years preferred.
  • Experience managing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work culture required.
  • Prior experience / certifications in Salesforce strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with analytics platforms such as PowerBI or Tableau strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience with government programs (e.g., Medicaid / Medicare) and related compliance requirements strongly preferred.

Skills and Abilities :

  • Strong working knowledge of trends in the dental care field strongly preferred.
  • Experience with account management, marketing, and business intelligence platforms (Salesforce, PowerBI) to drive recruitment / sales strategies and analyze performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and providers at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and align platform initiatives with business objectives.
  • Advanced supervisory, team building, and conflict resolution skills with strong problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and synthesize information and data from multiple sources.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and prioritize and schedule accordingly.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.

Essential Functions :

Provide strategic guidance to departments, oversee daily department operations, exercise professional judgment, solve problems, and delegate tasks as needed.

Conduct interviews, make hiring decisions, and handle performance evaluations, disciplinary discussions, and terminations effectively and timely.

  • Evaluate and counsel departmental team members on their performance in a professional and timely manner promoting growth and excellence.
  • Plan and develop educational training for the department including but not limited to planning and delivery of product-specific training to team members, new business processes, and partnering with the Learning and Development team in creating and sustaining learning pathways for departmental positions.
  • In partnership with the director, responsible for the implementation and coordination of procedures based on the established policies and standard operating procedures of the department.

Implement strategies to increase operational efficiency.

  • Review and analyze reports, records, and directives and confer with coworkers to obtain data required for planning department activities.
  • Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and participate in monitoring and analyzing costs throughout the budget year accordingly.
  • In partnership with department leadership, participate in the development and execution of organizational OKRs. Partner with department team members to promote success in
  • Provide strategic leadership and change management in the development of department-specific and organizational OKRs that support of DDCO’s mission and strategic plan.
  • Align with DDCO’s strategy to develop recruitment and retention strategies for networks including Delta Dental PPO™, Delta Dental Premier®, Delta Dental Patient Direct®, and Government Networks (e.

g., Medicare Advantage).

Serve as liaison to other member companies and Delta Dental Plans Association (DDPA) for network-related inquiries and compliance and act as a communication liaison between providers, dental associations, stakeholder groups, and DDCO.

Other Responsibilities :

  • Oversee DDPA National Provider File updates and accuracy.
  • Serve as the primary contact for third-party vendors and monitor their performance.
  • Responsible for documentation for the Provider Review Committee.
  • Monitor regulatory websites for actions against provider licenses.
  • Support internal and external audits.
  • Role model a positive work attitude and expect the same from others while holding self and others accountable to DDCO’s Core Values.
  • Take the lead role in oversight of the quality improvement initiatives and ensuring timely project management and reporting.
  • Write and update policies, standard operating procedures and job aides in a timely manner.
  • Maintain competency through professional self-development by participating in professional group and network activities.
  • Act as a liaison with other departments and work in collaboration with other department leaders.
  • Plan for and support the professional development of department team members.
  • Become familiar with and follow DDCO-wide and department-specific policies, standard operating procedures and the DDCO Core Values;

seek assistance from management when clarification or assistance is needed.

Assist others as requested.

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Salary Range : This is an exempt position with a range of $106,122-$136,157 annually plus is eligible for a bonus.
