Location : Osprey, Florida
Position Overview : We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Paraprofessional to join our team. The successful candidate will support teachers in delivering educational services to students, assist with classroom management, and provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs.
This role is essential in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist the lead teacher in classroom instruction and activities.
- Support students with special needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a conducive learning environment.
- Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to reinforce learning concepts.
- Prepare and organize teaching materials and resources.
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other school activities.
- Assist with record-keeping, grading, and other administrative tasks as required.
- municate effectively with teachers, parents, and administrators about student progress and needs.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational practices.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or higher in Education or related field preferred.
- Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic proficiency in using educational technology and puter applications.
Requirements :
- Background Check : Successful pletion of a background check and fingerprinting is required.
- Health Screening : pliance with local health and safety regulations, including TB testing.
- Certification : pletion of any required paraprofessional certification or training mandated by the state of Florida.
Working Conditions :
- The position involves working primarily in a classroom setting.
- Interaction with students, teachers, parents, and school administrators is frequent.
