About This Opportunity
FPA is currently searching for a full-time Site / Civil Project Engineer for our Hackettstown, New Jersey office . The ideal candidate will have broad-based, hands-on experience.

Core Responsibilities
- Site Planning and Design : Collaborate with project teams to develop site plans, grading and drainage designs, utility layouts, and erosion control plans for residential, commercial, and industrial developments.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that all designs adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, including zoning codes, environmental requirements, and permitting processes.
- Feasibility Studies : Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to evaluate the suitability of land for development and assess potential challenges.
- Cost Estimation : Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for site development projects, considering materials, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Client Communication : Maintain regular communication with clients to understand project goals, provide updates, and address any concerns or inquiries.
- Project Management : Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Construction Support : Provide on-site support during construction phases, addressing any design-related issues and ensuring project compliance with approved plans.
- Environmental Sustainability : Integrate sustainable and environmentally friendly practices into site design, such as stormwater management, green infrastructure, and LEED certification.
- Team Collaboration : Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, landscape architects, and other professionals to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Continuous Learning : Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in site civil engineering.
What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- 5 + years of experience in site civil engineering, with a proven track record of successful project completion.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant software.
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
