The Director of Sales and Marketing functions as the strategic business leader of all Sales, Marketing, and Revenue channels at the resort and plays a crucial role in defining and executing strategies to enhance the resort's market presence.

The responsibilities extend to the development and implementation of an annual robust and strategic marketing plan, ensuring the resort's offerings are effectively communicated to the target audience.

This position works with the Vice President and General Manager and TPI's Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing to develop, direct, and support the implementation of short / long-term revenue strategies for all resort revenue centers.

This includes guest rooms, meeting space, restaurant outlets, retail, spa, and aquatic amenities.

In addition to the strategic contributions, this role will be charged with the talent acquisition process for the Sales and Marketing Department.

This involves participating in the recruitment efforts, conducting interviews, and making informed hiring decisions to build and strengthen the resort's sales, marketing, and revenue team.

Your expertise will be instrumental in assembling a dynamic team that aligns with the resort's goals and values, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.

Key Responsibilities include :

  • Develops, energizes, and leads a motivated, competent, and cohesive team, maintaining adequate staffing, productivity, and the achievement of all objectives within budget
  • Directs the activities of all outside agencies and internal staff on local and in-house advertising campaigns, including but not limited to Public Relations, Digital Marketing, social media
  • Oversees the planning, production, and distribution of all marketing and communications materials
  • Strategizes with the in-house marketing team to implement effective campaigns
  • Plans and coordinates public affairs and communications efforts, including public relations and community outreach efforts
  • Prepares and administers the resorts Sales & Marketing Plan and Budget
  • Directly manages both existing key client relationships and fosters the development new accounts and relationships
  • Reviews the Smith Travel Research STAR report competitive shopping reports and uses other resources to maintain an awareness of the hotels market position

What you will bring :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales & Marketing in a resort or hospitality industry
  • 5+ years of resort sales leadership experience or equivalent
  • Experience with major Hospitality Sales & CRM systems
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to execute a Sales and Marketing play to enhance revenue.
  • Establish partnerships with community partners.
  • Present confidence and a professional appearance
