Salary : $18-25 / hour
No experience required! All training is provided and fully paid!
This is an hourly position with starting pay of $18 an hour (up to $25 an hour with experience), and eligible for approximately 200+ hours of overtime per year.
Typical work hours are 8am to 5 or 6pm Monday through Friday, with occasional Sundays during the warmer months (5-7 Sundays per year).
We are closed on Saturdays and you will never be asked to work Saturdays .
Our technicians receive a company vehicle to drive between customer locations. After one year of employment, you will be eligible to take your vehicle home after each workday and commute to your first stop from your home (until then you will start your day from the office).
What does a pest control technician do??
- Talks with customers to understand their pest problems and identify areas of the property where they are seeing pest activity
- Inspects the property for pest entry points and performs minor exclusion work to seal entry points to prevent pest entry
- Places monitoring stations to track pest activity for identification and treatment
- Performs pesticide treatments to prevent pest entry and to treat current activity for pests such as roaches, rodents (mice and rats), mosquitos, ticks, ants, spiders, and stinging insects to keep families and children safe
- Sets rodent devices to eliminate rodent activity
- Removes and disposes of deceased pests such as rodents and stinging insects
Job Duties include :
- 15+ hours a week driving between customer locations
- 10+ hours a week performing preventive pest control services at residential locations (single family homes and townhomes) with occasional commercial locations (small retail locations)
- 8+ hours a week of Sales stops (meeting with potential residential customers to talk to them about pest control and close the sale), and performing the initial service while on site
- 4+ hours a week visiting current residential customers who have pest problems in-between scheduled quarterly visits, to assess pest concerns and provide treatment to solve their pest issues (call-backs)
- 30 minutes a week attending weekly team meetings
- Continuing education / training to increase your knowledge relating to pest control and entomology (monthly)
- Other duties as required

After training, you will start your day at the office where you will pick up your company vehicle and drive to your first stop, returning your vehicle to the office at the end of each day.
After one year you will be eligible to take your vehicle home after your last service.

Job Requirements :
- Excellent customer service skills to talk with and connect with customers, in order to provide quality service.
- Strong ability to solve problems experienced by customers, by assessing pest pressures and looking for entry points and problem areas.
- Attention to detail to identify pest issues and entry points.
- Technical proficiency with handheld / smart phones, computers, etc.
- Physical ability to complete tasks associated with the job, including kneeling and crawling, ascending and descending stairs and ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a variety of temperature conditions and in attics and crawl spaces.
- Valid Driver’s License (not provisional) with acceptable driving record.
- Consent to a pre-employment criminal background check, assessment, and drug screening.
