Radiology Transporter
Transports patients to and from Radiology from other patient care areas.
Assures proper patient identification using two forms of verification prior to patient transport.
Assess patient's transport needs and alters transport plan as appropriate.
Communicates to other areas patient location in radiology.
Uses oxygen when appropriate at proper levels.
Assists in transferring patients to procedure table utilizing proper body mechanics and safe transfer techniques.
Consults with health team members as needed. Ensures "hand-off" communication is completed.
Assures quality patient care in an environment of dignity, worth, and confidentiality.
Answers patient call light within Radiology.
Transports specimens to the lab as directed by staff per infection control policy.
Requirements : HS / GED
Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
BLS. Mandatory Reporter Training.
