DevOps Software Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced back-end developer with the software engineering skills it takes to identify potential risks, contribute to solution development, and create efficient and effective systems for our clients.
As a back-end developer at Booz Allen, you’ll use the latest architectural approaches and open-source frameworks and tools to deliver solutions.
Using your software engineering experience, you’ll work with the development team to create custom tools, systems, and sites with consistent performance and scalability.

You Have :
- Experience with writing scripts using Bash and Python
- Experience with UNIX command line
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC ) principles and automation tools, including Puppet, SaltStack, and Ansible
- Experience with trouble-shooting large UNIX Clusters
- Experience with using system monitoring tools, including Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with containerization te chn ologies, including Docker
- Experience with container orchestration te chn ologies, including Kubernetes
- Knowledge of compute, network, memory, and storage system components
- TS / SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have :
- Experience with developing test plans
- Experience with researching, evaluating, and deploying te chn ologies in a Kubernetes environment
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite, including JIRA or Confluence
- Experience with using Git for version control
- Experience with using Gitlab CI / CD pipelines
- Experience with Site Reliability Engineering ( SRE ) principles and applications
Clearance :
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;
TS / SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.
The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
