RESPONSIBILITIES :
This position is accountable for managing the PLANTERS, CORN NUTS, and COMPLEATS brand formats at Kroger Corporate. Kroger Corporate currently centrally operates approximately 2,500 chain stores throughout the Unites States under various banners.
This responsibility does not include the Harris Teeter banner. The ideal candidate for this position should demonstrate the skills and abilities to think strategically and differently on how we can best serve the Kroger shopper with solutions on responsible brands.
- Collaborates with our Corp. VMI and Retail teams to effectively facilitate Kroger baseline business.
- Collaborates with their Customer Business Manager (CBM) and sales strategy support team to develop annual sales plans that are aligned with the operating units and the customer.
- Penetrates the Category Manager and Divisional Merchandiser level of Kroger to implement sales and marketing initiatives and maximize customer development.
- Executes and communicates distribution, shelving, merchandising, pricing (DSMP) objectives for responsible brands.
- Identifies threats and opportunities in the categories that we compete that could affect sales volume, market share, trade efficiencies and profitability, and communicates them to their CBM.
- Leverages insights to develop and deliver fact-based presentations to drive brand initiatives and results.
- Works closely with Sales Strategy, Shopper, and Retail Growth Management support to scenario plan for maximum impact and efficiency.
Collaborates with the customer on these to drive mutually profitable sales.
Interprets information from the Sales Strategy team regarding category sales, brand sales, share growth and promotional efficiency.
From this information, provides insights and recommendations to drive sales on responsible brands.
- Develops a deep understanding of Kroger Omni Channel capabilities and aligns trade investments as these evolve.
- Responsible for developing and enhancing their competencies through participation in learning and development workshops.
These include but are not limited to training available at the local, regional, and national meetings intended to improve selling techniques, knowledge of the customer and company, and other business practice.
Develops business relationships with key customers and maintains frequent and consistent communication.
QUALIFICATIONS : Required
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of sales / marketing / sales strategy experience.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply business analytics.
- Pattern of initiative.
- Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of complex projects.
- Well-developed interpersonal, organizational skills and analytical skills.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to take opportunities from conception to execution.
- Ability to work independently and proven history of self-motivation.
- Excellent customer service, problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred
3+ years of sales / marketing / sales strategy experience.
LOCATION : Cincinnati Sales Office, Cincinnati, OH
TRAVEL : Up to 10% of the time.
