We are actively seeking an energetic, dynamic and experienced middle school humanities teacher to join our team and serve our Catholic community.
Duration : August 27-October 1, 2024
Job Description : This would be a 1.0 FTE position for the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year beginning August 27, 2024 until October 1, 2024.
The position will be reporting to the principal to work as the 3rd grade teacher in collaboration with the students' teacher who will be away on leave.
The teacher would be responsible for overseeing and collaborating with the 3rd grade teacher on setting up the classroom, planning and assessment during the first month of school.
This position includes teaching of math, language arts, science, social studies, religion and social emotional learning in the general education classroom.
The ideal candidate has experience teaching general education in the primary grades and is organized, engaging and aware of how to support diverse learners in a classroom setting.
Qualifications :
- Experience with primary students (preferred)
- Catholic (preferred)
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of Common Core Standards
- Ability to communicate with students, parents and the school community
- Desire to be part of the elementary team
Job Responsibilities :
- Oversee teaching responsibilities for 3rd grade
- Effectively communicate academic growth and progress with parents and administrators
- Scaffold learning to support students to reach grade level benchmarks, Common Core Standards and Archdiocesan religion standards
- Work within a Professional Learning Community to support school and student growth
- Oversee the 3rd grade homeroom including social emotional learning growth and support
- Participate in school and Archdiocesan professional development as determined by the principal and vice principal
- Adhere to all school and Archdiocesan policies

Compensation : $188-$263 per day or $25-$35 / hour. Any offered compensation is determined based on a predetermined salary schedule, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, degrees and certification.
