About the Role

Loads, unloads, and / or moves materials within or near plant, or work site by performing the following duties.

Pay rate starts at $22.37 and increases annually on work anniversary (Base pay $21.37 + $1 for 2nd shift)

Hours are Monday- Friday, 3 : 05pm-11pm with possible OT when needing to cover call in or vacation for other material handlers

Your Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and / or moves materials within or near plant, or work site by performing the following duties
• Hilo trained, and will obey plant and federal hilo / tugger laws.
• Able to obtain a powered industrial truck license.
• Must be aware of environment when driving hilo / tugger. EX : water on floor, pedestrians walking in aisleways.
• Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. Opens containers.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, racks, and shelves by hand, with hilo / tugger or latter.
• Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated area.
• Counts, scans, weighs and records number of units of materials moved or handled.
• Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on containers.
• Verifies all labels and tags.
• Participates in problem solving and continuous improvement activities.
• Completes operator check sheets on hilo / tugger and keeps hilo / tugger clean.
• Performs housekeeping activities.
• Perform all duties assigned by the Manager / Supervisor.

Who we are looking for

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Industrial shipping / warehouse experience preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret a variety of written procedures, part numbers, part descriptions and operation instruction sheets.
• Able to write routine production reports, tags and labels.
