Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Project Manager to be based in Honolulu, HI.
You will be joining a global team of 500+ maritime specialists who support a wide range of maritime developments including container terminals, LNG facilities, waterfront developments, federal maritime facilities, cruise and ferry terminals, marinas and harbors as well as coastal schemes such as beach development and coastal protection schemes.
Job Summary / Responsibilities :
- Manage the scope, schedule, and budget of small to large-scale Ports & Marine projects across the project lifecycle - from conceptual studies to full design and construction administration.
- Plan and manage project staffing requirements, report project performance, and identify and address scope creep, schedule, or quality issues to ensure the successful delivery of assigned projects.
- Manage one or more complex projects, involving a combination of the following projects involving a full spectrum of engineering services offered by AECOM.
- Provide project and technical task management for one or more simultaneous projects.
- Identify problems, determine accuracy and relevance of information, use sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and make recommendations.
- Review contracts, prepare fee proposals, and project execution strategies.
- Manage sub-consultant scope, fees, deliverables, and performance.
- Maintain good presentation and communication skills in English, along with report and proposal writing skills.
- Assist in developing new client relationships and strengthen existing client relationships by identifying, understanding, and focusing on clients’ key requirements.
- Exhibit good team leadership skills and be a self-starter, energetic, and pro-active.
- Be a strong team player.
Qualifications
BS in Civil Engineering or Maritime Engineering + 8 years of related experience.
Professional Engineer Registration with the ability to attain a State of Hawaii Professional Engineer Registration within 12 months.
Project Management experience in seaport related infrastructure.
Experience with computer-aided design (AutoCAD).
Experience with ArcGIS.
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in leading projects with multi-disciplinary teams to required quality, timeliness, and budget parameters.
- Previous experience in maintaining client relationships and expectations.
- Advanced knowledge of planning and design process, construction documentation, construction administration, and code requirements.
- Experience managing concurrent projects in various stages of development and managing multiple project types with an emphasis on design, sustainability, and innovation.
- Innovative problem solver with excellent verbal / written communication and presentation skills and a proven ability to manage people and projects through strong demonstrated organizational skills.
- Strong skills in the full suite of MS Office applications.
- Participate in selected marketing and business development opportunities in support of the sales team.
- Experience with Federal and local harbor and maritime projects is a plus.
Additional Information
Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $110,004.00 - $203,508.00.
