About The Position
Position : Hematologist / Oncologist
Location : Pennsylvania
Type : Locum Tenens (minimum 1-year commitment)
We are seeking a Board-Certified Hematologist / Oncologist for a long-term locum tenens position. This role involves outpatient-only responsibilities, with support from a full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP).
The ideal candidate will commit to a minimum of one year.
Responsibilities :
- Onsite coverage, 3 days per week (Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. - 4 : 30 p.m. with flexibility).
- Patient load of approximately 15 patients per day, handling a typical community-based hematology / oncology case mix.
- Perform bone marrow biopsies, if desired.
- No call responsibilities or non-heme / onc infusion duties.
Requirements :
- License : Active Pennsylvania state license
- Board Status : Board Certified in Medical Oncology
- Certifications : BLS and DEA required.
- Experience : Minimum of 1 year of hematology / oncology practice experience.
Additional Information :
- EMR : Aria (Varian Product)
- Location : Accessible to Buffalo, Rochester, and Elmira airports
- Patient Mix : Adult hematology / oncology, no pediatric cases
- Support : Full-time APP for clinical support
