We're trying to identify a talented Java Web Application developer to contribute to our client's exciting journey. This is a Contract-to-hire, hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA.
Role Responsibilities
- Propose solutions aligned with the company's core values.
- Perform analysis, design, and code in Java, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Participate in production support and spearhead troubleshooting efforts as required.
- Execute SQL server DBA functions.
- Collaborate with the account services team (software helpdesk team) to resolve escalated technical issues.
- Ensure software quality through rigorous quality assurance practices.
- Customize the system for new and existing installations.
- Manage Servers and Services on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years of application development experience, including programming / developing web applications using Java, Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA, Maven, and rules engines.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in application integration and designing and developing web services and frameworks. Comprehensive front and back-end experience are essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experience working directly with end users to comprehend and translate requirements into design.
- Proven ability to constructively evaluate and apply new and emerging technologies and vendor products to meet identified business and technology objectives.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and its application in software design.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to devise solutions.
- Willingness to participate in production support and lead troubleshooting efforts as required.
- Proficient understanding and experience with SQL / Stored Procedures.
- Solid experience with test-driven development.
- Deep understanding of Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with relational databases - preferably SQL Server.
- Familiarity with Versata would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) would be a plus.
Pay range : $40-$50 an hour
