Summary
- Provide patient care support including hygiene, nutrition, ambulation, and safety as directed by Charge Nurse
- Document patient care activities accurately and follow established guidelines
- Complete rounds as assigned and respond to resident needs promptly
- Measure vital signs and weights accurately and report to Charge Nurse
- Maintain supplies and equipment on the unit and attend to additional needs
- Interact effectively with team members, Charge Nurse, and department managers
- Complete job duties by attending continuing education and keeping Charge Nurse informed
- Report to Charge Nurse at end of each shift and complete walking rounds
Job Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in the state of work
- CPR certification required or willing to obtain within six months
- Long-term care experience preferred
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift heavy objects, and transfer patients
- Manual dexterity, coordination, and visual acuity with the ability to distinguish color
