To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to :
- Repairs and maintains mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots and presses.
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect and repair any malfunctions.
- Performs both routine and repair maintenance on industrial pumps and scrap conveyors.
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Understands, supports, and implements the company safety policies; Quality policy, housekeeping; and continuous improvement skills into daily work habits.
- Understands and adheres to all safety guidelines as required by OSHA.
This full-time hourly role is a part of our Belleville Plant 2 team and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Required experience.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Basic understanding of PLC programming principles and techniques with consideration for operator and equipment safety.
- Basic electrical knowledge of high and low voltage systems.
