ABOUTACTUARIAL :
- TheActuarial department provides insight and analysis to help solvecomplex business problems.
- The departmentconsists of the following teams : Personal Lines Pricing CommercialLines Pricing Reserving and Predictive Analytics.
ROLE ANDRESPONSIBILITIES :
Asan Associate Actuary you will collaborate with other actuaries andcolleagues across the company to solve important business problems.
Potential projects include the following :
- Perform pricing studies to evaluate the profitability ofour Auto Homeowners and Workers Compensation insuranceproducts.
- Analyze rating variables andrecommend pricing changes.
- Perform competitoranalysis to maintain awareness of pricing and product developmentsin the marketplace.
- Collaborate with thePredictive Analytics team on modeling projects.
- Partner with Marketing to help drive higher returns onadvertising expenditures.
- Analyze usagebasedinsurance (UBI) data and offer recommendations on pricingchanges.
- Perform trend analysis to understandchanges in the frequency and severity of insuranceclaims.
- Analyze the impact of crashavoidancetechnology on Auto insurance claims.
- This is ahybrid position with some onsite and telecommuting availabilityeach week.
Required KnowledgeSkills and Abilities : (Hiring Companies ATSQuestions) :
1. Doyou have at least 2 years of P&C actuarialexperience.
2. Do you have a Bachelors degreein Actuarial Science Mathematics Statistics Economics or relatedmajor.
3. Do you have a interest in pursuing the ACAS and FCAS credentialfrom the Casualty Actuarial Society.
4. Must bea US Citizen or Green Card holder.
