An exceptional opportunity to become a Senior Tax Accountant for a Tax & Business Advisory Firm that designs customized inventive tax strategies for small business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
They tailor their tax advising approach by getting to know their clients, their business, and their needs and strategizing and implementing solutions that meet those needs.
Compensation And Benefits :
$75,000 - $90,000

Your Responsibilities :
Understand and familiarize clients with tax strategies that lead them to make smarter tax and financial decisions.
Prepare and review tax returns for small business clients and high net worth individuals.
Assist with tax planning kickoff calls, implementation calls and quarterly calls, addressing clients’ tax questions.
Establish and maintain client relationships throughout the year creating a positive client experience.
Keep up to date with latest tax legislation changes and IRS pronouncements as they become available.
Comprehend and implement tax reduction strategies.
Record tax adjusting journal entries in QBO and identifying tax errors.
Prepare and review financial statements.
Calculate tax projections calculations, what if scenarios and review with clients.
Resolve tax notices and other tax related issues.
Support the onboarding of new clients.
Establish & manage tax planning, tax return preparation, business consultation processes creating efficiencies within the firm and for the client.
Qualifications We Require :
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
CPA or EA (preferred)
Minimum 3+ years of experience in a public accounting setting preparing taxes for 1040 & business
Experience preparing complex Forms 1040 (reconciling K-1 basis, etc.)
Experience preparing complex small business returns (Forms 1065, 1120S, 990, etc.)
Experience with business consulting (a plus)
Proven work experience as a Tax Senior
Prepare year end tax returns for small business clients and high net worth individuals.
Record tax entries within client’s accounting system and spot potential tax errors
Keep up to date with latest tax legislation changes and IRS pronouncements as they become available.
Commitment to refining processes and using technology (hardware, software, etc.) to streamline, automate, and gain efficiencies within the firm and for the client.
