Soliant is seeking an experienced Pharmacist - Infusion Specialist to join our dedicated team in Florida. This critical role involves ensuring safe and effective medication management for patients requiring intravenous therapies.

Position Overview :
- Start Date : ASAP
- Duration : 6-8 weeks (potential for extension based on facility needs)
- Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM
- Location : Florida (specific facility details provided upon application)
Key Responsibilities : Medication Management :
IV Verification :
- Conduct thorough reviews of IV medication orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness.
- Verify that all IV formulations meet the facilitys standards and protocols.
IV Preparation :
- Prepare and pound IV solutions using sterile techniques in pliance with USP guidelines.
- Handle and dispose of hazardous medications according to safety protocols.
Patient Care :
Patient Interaction :
- Provide medication counseling and education to patients and their families regarding IV therapies.
- Monitor patient responses to IV medications and collaborate with the healthcare team to make necessary adjustments.
Clinical Collaboration :
- Work alongside physicians, nursing staff, and pharmacy technicians to develop and implement individualized medication plans.
- Participate in patient care rounds to provide expertise on medication therapy management.
Quality Assurance : Safety and pliance :
Safety and pliance :
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient safety.
- Conduct regular checks to ensure pliance with federal and state regulations, as well as facility policies.
Training and Mentorship :
- Train pharmacy staff and interns on IV preparation and safety protocols.
- Provide guidance on best practices in medication management and patient care.
Qualifications : Experience :
Experience :
- Prior infusion pharmacy experience is highly preferred.
- Candidates with a background in inpatient pharmacy settings will be considered, though acceptance of a lower bill rate may be required.
Licensure :
Must hold a valid Florida Pharmacy License in good standing.
Technical Skills :
- Familiarity with CPR+ pharmacy management system is beneficial.
- Proficiency in the preparation and verification of IV medications, including chemotherapy and specialty drugs.
