The is a senior healthcare executive will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of programs to improve patients safety and clinical outcomes.

This is an on-site position with the flexibility of working home one day a week.

  • Directing clinical quality and patient safety management programs, including budgeting, annual evaluations and revisions, consultation services, education initiatives, outcome measurement, and improvement strategies related to clinical, accreditation, regulatory and licensing (AR&L), risk management, and infection prevention and control.
  • Establishing standards for evaluating, designing, developing, and implementing evidence-based guidelines, principles, and programs to reduce clinical practice variation, optimize patient outcomes, and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Overseeing the collection, analysis, reporting, and presentation of clinical data to identify trends, outliers, and areas for improvement, informing both short- and long-term strategy and project goals.
  • Developing strategies for educational initiatives related to quality improvement activities, regulatory requirements, and translating external demands into program goals.
  • Serving as an expert resource on monitoring, reporting, and developing mitigation plans for occurrences that may lead to medical center liability.
  • Supporting the medical center's continuous survey readiness program to maintain regulatory compliance.
  • Developing collaborative relationships with government and regulatory agencies, as well as other organizations.

  • Soliciting and acting on performance feedback, driving collaboration to set goals, and providing open feedback and coaching to foster performance improvement.
  • Demonstrating continuous learning, overseeing the recruitment, selection, and development of talent, and ensuring performance management guidelines and expectations align with business needs.
  • Staying updated with best practices, processes, benchmarks, and industry trends, sharing this knowledge within and across teams.
  • Motivating and empowering teams, maintaining a highly skilled and engaged workforce by aligning resource plans with business objectives.
  • Providing guidance for difficult decisions and creating opportunities for expanded decision-making and impact.
  • Overseeing the operation of multiple units within a department by identifying member and operational needs, managing work assignments, translating business strategy into actionable business requirements, and ensuring products and services meet member expectations.
  • Gaining cross-functional support for business plans and priorities, assuming responsibility for decision-making, setting standards, measuring progress, and resolving escalated issues.
  • Communicating goals and objectives, analyzing resources, costs, and forecasts, and incorporating them into business plans, prioritizing and distributing resources, removing obstacles that impact performance, guiding performance, and developing contingency plans.
  • Directing data collection and analyses to support quality improvement reporting, overseeing statistical analysis for evaluations and special projects, defining standards for integrating multiple utilization data reporting systems, and presenting quality improvement metric reports to senior and executive management.
  • Directing quality improvement and risk management efforts, defining standards for corrective action plans, ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations, conducting root cause analyses, and escalating high-risk issues.
  • Establishing standards for quality improvement performance metrics at regional and organizational levels, consulting with senior management to set performance standards, and monitoring the delivery of measurable results aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Overseeing KP-wide quality improvement initiatives, implementing new technology, methods, and tools, serving as a technical advisor on data-driven improvement principles, and consulting with stakeholders to define consistent quality improvement strategies.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert on quality improvement processes and regulations, providing consultation on policy interpretation and implementation, engaging with committees and initiatives, and advising on compliance and policy changes.
  • Promoting continuous learning through quality performance review processes, defining standards for utilization and performance reviews, presenting performance reports, and developing training programs related to process improvement for quality improvement programs.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience managing operational or project budgets.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience with databases and spreadsheets or continuous quality improvement (CQI) tools.
  • Minimum seven (7) years of experience in clinical setting, health care administration, or a directly related field.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field AND Minimum eight (8) years of experience in heath care quality assurance / improvement or directly related field OR Minimum eleven (11) years of experience in heath care quality assurance / improvement or a directly related field.
  • Professional Healthcare Quality Certificate within 24 months of hire OR Professional in Patient Safety Certificate within 24 months of hire OR Professional in Healthcare Risk Management Certificate within 24 months of hire
