We are excited to announce a rewarding opportunity for a Special Education Teacher in Scottsdale, AZ, for the upcoming 2024 / 2025 school year.
This full-time position involves working in an elementary self-contained classroom with a caseload of 9 students. The role is supported by floater paraprofessionals to ensure a dynamic and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in a self-contained classroom setting.
- Adapt and modify curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster a supportive learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to instruction.
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights into students' progress and needs.
- Create an inclusive and nurturing classroom atmosphere for all students.
Qualifications :
- Active Arizona Special Education (AZ SPED) License.
- Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Experience working with elementary students in a self-contained setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
