Special Education Teacher Opening for 2024 / 2025 School Year in Scottsdale, AZ

Employment Type : Full-Time

Contract Period : 2024 / 2025 School Year

Compensation : $42.50 per hour, paid weekly

Work Schedule : 37.5 hours per week

We are excited to announce a rewarding opportunity for a Special Education Teacher in Scottsdale, AZ, for the upcoming 2024 / 2025 school year.

This full-time position involves working in an elementary self-contained classroom with a caseload of 9 students. The role is supported by floater paraprofessionals to ensure a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in a self-contained classroom setting.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum and instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and document student progress, making necessary adjustments to instruction.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights into students' progress and needs.
  • Create an inclusive and nurturing classroom atmosphere for all students.

Qualifications :

  • Active Arizona Special Education (AZ SPED) License.
  • Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Experience working with elementary students in a self-contained setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
