Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team on a Full-Time basis in our Geriatric Psychiatry department.
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for administering direct patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse and / or other qualified staff.
This position may also perform general clerical duties to ensure the smooth operation of the unit.
Essential Functions :
- Assumes direct patient care responsibilities as assigned by the Registered Nurse and / or other qualified staff.
- Assists patients in ADLs in an effective and timely manner
- Ensures patients' safety
- Performs clerical duties to assist in the smooth operation of the unit
- Participates in continued personal growth and development
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
Position Requirements :
- Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant training program
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- Prefer previous experience in a hospital and / or healthcare setting
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar
- Computer Competency : Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position
- Microsoft Office Suite Skills : Beginning Skills - Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.
Work Shift :
- Full-Time, .9 FTE
- 36 hours per week, 8 and 12-hour shifts
- Scheduled Days : Variable PMs and Nights
- Shift : 7 : 00 p.m. - 7 : 30 a.m.
- Every Other Weekend - 7 : 00 p.m. - 7 : 30 a.m.
- Every 3rd Holiday - 7 : 00 p.m. - 7 : 30 a.m.
